Poems to Express: WATER
Poems to Express
As I shared in my notes a few days ago, my therapist challenged me to post one poem a week regardless of its length or whether I love it enough. so after Amit Charles sending me the below beautiful quote “creativity isn’t about being impressive, it’s about being expressive” (I LOVED that btw), I felt inspired to start a weekly series called “Poems to Express.” Every Saturday, I’ll post a poem I wrote during the week, challenging my old mindset of sharing only what I judge good and long enough for a Substack post. So, in this post is a short poem I wrote this week, called WATER. :)
WATER
To live is
to dwell in our
effervescent seas
rivers with no banks
and dry spells in our eyes.@Izabella Casagrande, 2026. All rights reserved.

I love this short poem. Can you say more about that last line. I was thinking maybe you meant life cannot all be flowing/moving water, that perhaps there are dry moments ….beauty and sorrow, gratitude and grief.
So beautifully written grl!! I am glad that yuh posted it!! 💖💖
I can't really write pieces like this but I love it! ❤️
