I part from your levee-eyes, emerald green, long eyelashes passed down to me. Always, almost wet, as if they were begging for some kind of forgiveness we never had. Confined forever in your inability to be anything different. Lost in the portions of virtue and vice, shores of whiskey, half your fault. And still I’m the one underwater, spilling, grasping, flooding. From the stream-depths of this ache, you could only do what you did, and there is not enough time for it not to be enough. But tears that escape also redeem. For whoever holds certain waters, just like you, can be swallowed by them.
"You could only do what you did, and there is not enough time for it not to be enough." Forgiveness that doesn't erase the ache but simply accepts the limitation of another person — that's one of the hardest and most honest places a person can arrive at. Really exceptional poem. Honored to share the Mini-Zine with you.
Hi Jacob! Oh, your comment honestly made my Friday, thank you so much for sharing it!! ❤️ Unfortunately yes, there are some people in life we can only accept for who they are, and my father is one of them. That doesn’t change the love I have for him.
Izabella, good evening. I’ve also found many times in my life that, rather than trying to force sadness away, I was able to move forward a little more after fully feeling it and letting it flow😇

Yes! I think that is the only way out of pain: through. 💔 thank you so much for being here Keiichiro!
Beautiful poem. This part of the poem really inspired me:
Lost in the portions
of virtue and vice,
shores of whiskey,
half your fault.
